I never liked Samsung Kies and used Windows Explorer for File and Media Management on Android Phone. Somehow, it is not so convenient and didn’t had option to backup Contacts and Messages. So, Dedicated Phone Management software was necessary.

You can add / edit / backup / restore Messages and Contacts in one click. Also, the Music and Movie management lets you organize playlists, add new songs to library or set them as ringtone.

Along with Data Management, it supports SMS / Contacts and Application Backup on demand which can be restored when needed. In my case however, it didn’t detect any Appliction installed (maybe because of Custom ROM) but SMS and Contacts backup worked fine.

If you have a number of family members, you can set up a server-based network that will allow you control over the computers, users, and all the devices.

     Plan your network. You need to know what parts of your network will end up where on the network. In a typical network, your server will be the hub of your network, but it will also connect to another network, usually the Internet. Decide which computers will be inside your network and which will not use the network (if any).

     Plug one of the server network cards into the external network using a CAT5 or better (CAT5e, CAT6). This will often be the Internet by way of broadband or other connection to an ISP. Configure the server to work to this network using the information provided by your ISP.

     Connect the other server network card to your network hub. If you are using a router, do not use the "uplink" or "Internet" port. Instead, just plug it into one of the other ports that are open.

3. Get your router. Use a regular router, because wireless routers are not suggested for home server set-ups. Your router should have Ethernet jacks and should be capable of port forwarding in order to allow outside Internet traffic.

4. Set up your computer. Make sure that you have your standard computer items including a keyboard, mouse, and a 10/100 Ethernet Network Card. Make sure to have an uninterrupted power supply to keep your system safe in the event of a power outage.

5. To configure your web server, you should start system-config services. Make sure that httpd and mysqld are started and selected to start on boot, then save the service configuration.

6. Verify that your web server is working correctly by opening a browser and pointing it at http://localhost/ (which always points to the web server on your computer). You should see the test page for apache, the web server application.

7. Set up port forwarding as directed by your router. Make sure that all http services or port 80 traffic is sent to the IP address of your web server.
